Arley Cakes in the News!

I was so excited for the chance to talk to Mary Scott Hardaway of Style Weekly about the “why” behind my baking. Plus, during these rona times, it was nice to have a reason to do my hair and put on makeup. It’s rare I do either of those things these days, let alone both at once, so please enjoy this photo by Scott Elmquist documenting it.

Sometimes balancing life and work and my side hustle here can be a little overwhelming -- it can feel like I’m playing catchup in every arena. So I’m always grateful for the chance to step back and reflect on why it is that I come home from work, and work some more, sometimes until my brain is completely fried and my feet can’t stand it anymore. It’s because I’ve found my way to try to make the world a better place, and help other people do that too. That’s totally worth the late nights. I really love what I do.
